I began writing this song half drunk in my friend Bill Hall’s garage sometime in 2010. We used to gather there for after work festivities and to record music and do other weird and interesting things. He used to use a few computer programs back then that were pretty cool and he whipped this beat up using some pre-existing samples from whatever program he used. Usually I’m against the use pre-existing samples because if you think about it; hundreds of thousands of people potentially have access to the same programs and sounds and the last thing I want to do is use the same samples as someone else. Still, the chances of this are pretty slim and I thought this beat was dope right from the start so I wrote something right away. I got a mix of the beat on CD and finished writing at my house and made my way back to record at Bill’s. When I was finished writing the last 4 bar chant, I thought the track was the dopest shit I had written in a while and I couldn’t wait for people to hear it. So I recorded it and posted it on my Reverbnation page on November 2nd 2010. I also added it as a bonus track on the 2010 Re-Mastered version of my 2008 release “It Goes Like This.” Even though this has previously been released, twice, I never felt like it had an official release or got the attention or recognition it should, so I added it to this project to give it some overdue exposure….
