We received a second installment of eleven beats from Coolzey in 2011. I don’t know why he kept giving eleven beats at a time, but since that was the case, we were trying to come up with a play on “Ocean’s Eleven” for the title for the Mic Hand x Coolzey project. We never did come up with one. During our listening and selecting party with Coolzey, this beat came up and everybody knew it was for me. When I finally got to writing on it I realized it was a good sequel to “Impcredible” and named it “Impcredible Part 2”, and added “Part 1” to the title of the first one. I decided that I would just kill the whole beat since it was just over two minutes long and it wasn’t long after that I started to regret that decision. I hit a lot of walls while writing and worked on this verse off and on for quite a few weeks before it was finished. By the time it was written I had it memorized and worked for days to train my lungs for performing this. Once I had it to a point where I could make it all the way through I recorded a video of myself running through the verse in my basement. I posted it to my YouTube channel on March 19th of 2012. It’s kind of funny for me to watch the video now. It was so new then and I was trying hard to get all the breaths and words in the right places. Now it’s just like second nature to me when I perform it. I also do a remix of both Part 1 and Part 2 on an Abtract Rude and Aceyalone beat, but in attempts to record it, I struggled with achieving the right sound so I decided against recording it. If you want to hear that version you need to be at a show I’m performing at….
